Video Poker Agreement is Under Examination
The Tasmanian Parliament's Public Accounts Committee is going to be examining the monopoly poker machine Deed of Agreement between the state government and the Federal Hotels group. The Liberal Opposition is planning to introduce a motion that will call for the committee to investigate the deal.

The reason the deal is being investigated is that Liberals want to know id there has been a breach of the Gaming Deed. The leader of the opposition business, Sue Napier, says that the Public Accounts Committee is the appropriate body to deal with the matter.

Will Hodgman, the Opposition leader has requested to know whether the 20 year monopoly deal between the government and the Federal Hotels has been breached.

The government has amended the agreement that was put into place in 2003 three times but now they want to see if both parties have complied with the Deed and whether or not any extensions to the current time frame should have been made public.
