Man Arrested for Video Poker Machines in Home
Leon Curtain age 56 lives in Myrtle Beach and he was recently charged with several gambling offenses recently. Police came to Curtain’s apartment and three video poker machines were found at his address. Police came to Curtain’s apartment to charge him with a business violation and to prove their charges they found the three machines.

Curtain was charged for unlawfully holding possession of gambling or vending devices as well as three other offenses of operating without a business license that involves food, drink, video poker and other rentals.

Police found the three video poker machines as well as large amounts of beers, soda and other items. Curtain tried to defend himself by saying that he sold sodas and beers but it was not connected to poker or other illegal gaming activity. Curtain said the drinks were for his friends who came over the play cards or when they watch ball games.

Despite Curtain’s statements, police seized the machines as they are illegal in the state. The money that was collected inside the machines was seized as well.
