Georgia Residents Arrested for Illegal Video Poker Machines
The New Year has arrived and already several residents of the state of Georgia have been arrested for illegal gambling operations. Six people have been arrested for operating illegal video poker machines out of convenience stores in Augusta, Georgia. Law officials in Richmond County had been investigating two stores in Augusta, the Raceway and a C.K. Food Store. The stores were being investigated because they were thought to be operating video gaming terminals, video poker to be specific.
The video poker terminals were thought to be paying out cash winnings. The machines were found by police and charges have been brought down on the owners of the stores. From the Raceway Sun Chu Han, Marrus Dwayne Sweeney and Mi Chong Curry were arrested. Kwi Choi Han, Sohna Midgette and Young Hi Han were arrested from the C.K. Food Store.
