$1 million Won At Wheel of Fortune Slot Tournament
The Hilton and Resorts Atlantic City held a winner take all slot tournament Saturday. Thomas Hedenberg of Mantua won $1 million playing Wheel of Fortune.

The 63 year old Hedenberg said, "As a regular player at Hilton, I had the opportunity to participate in this contest, and lucky enough to win the tournament. We chose to come to Hilton this weekend to celebrate my wife Cindy's birthday. $1 million. Wow. What a way to celebrate."
Hedenberg said he prefers video poker over other casino slots because it demands a higher level of skill.

This event began Oct. 9 with daily qualifying tournaments at both the Hilton and Resorts. The top 250 scorers from both places made it to Saturday semifinals. The top 10 were then taken to an 11 p.m. showdown in a limo at the Resorts ballroom.

"This kind of large-scale tournament with a massive prize is the direct result of two properties successfully working together," said Tony Rodio, regional president for the Hilton and Resorts.
